Production of COF is started in year 2000 and it is now used for substrates of LCD drivers for large LCD panels.
In accordance with shrinkage of the size of driver ICs for large LCD panels, requirement for COF is being rapidly severer.

FLEXCEED realized production of COF with 18um pitch routing for large LCD panels and smartphone in 2020. Moreover, fine pitch technologies for the COF with 16um pitch or less is under development.
