At FLEXCEED, we place a high priority on global environmental conservation and have been ISO14001 certified since 2003.
In our manufacturing activities, we consume a large amount of energy and chemicals, and generate waste. We are therefore pay specific attention to two aspects: “chemicals” and “waste”.
In the area of “chemicals”, we carry out optimization control of the chemicals used, substitute materials with counterparts that have a lower environmental impact, and investigate ways to reduce chemical consumption. For RoHS6 materials, we have actively established an in-house certification system that checks that they are not included, and this mechanism prevents RoHS6 materials from entering our facilities.
In relation to “waste”, our efforts include switching to processing methods with a lower environmental impact, and the promotion of 3R and zero-emission initiatives.
With regard to environmental laws and regulations, we are constantly checking our compliance status and the law itself, such that we are able to respond to changes in the law as quickly as possible. We also provide environment-related in-house education for all employees, and our company as a whole is working towards an increased awareness toward the environment.

The environmental friendliness of our products has a standing as being one of the most important issues in our environmental conservation activities, and we have complied with the RoHS Directive from an early stage. We have built a mechanism that collects and manages information regarding the chemicals contained in the components and materials received from all of our suppliers, and have a system in place that allows us to provide quick and satisfying answers to questions about our product chemicals to customers affected by EU environmental regulations. Furthermore, our efforts in environmental management, which are centered around our plants, are focused on environmental conservation activities that promote activities such as green purchasing, environmentally-friendly designs, 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle), and energy savings (regulation of CO2 emissions). We are promoting quantitative controls aimed at reducing the environmental impact of both our production and product development activities. We anticipate chemical regulations to become even tougher in the future. Therefore, we ensure that we create products that do not contain environmentally-regulated substances, and are directing our efforts toward control of chemicals and the regulation of hazardous substances. We are also further strengthening our control framework in order to provide products that our customers can use with confidence. In addition, we are working on improving the awareness of environmental conservation such that every employee plays their own part, and we will contribute to local communities, environmental education, and release environmental information.
